28 Feb

I have made an executive decision (which was easy because I’m the only one making decisions over here) to extend Friends Week! There were just too many people to squish into 5 days.

RYAN: Perfect

*Excellent or complete beyond practical or theoretical improvement.

*Exactly fitting the need in a certain situation or for a certain purpose.

Definitely not claiming Ryan is perfect.

He always has really cold hands. Likes to scare me. Doesn’t pay attention driving and regularly misses our exit. Not to mention his spider killing skills (or lack there of). He has also been known to eat peanut butter and tuna. Together. No joke. I have yet to be subjected to this torture but I’m sure I will in due time..

But despite all of our flaws, together we are perfect.

My perfect.

JESS: Partner

A person who shares or is associated with another in some action or endeavor; sharer; associate. (aren’t definitions fun?)

Accomplice. Ally. Cohort. Collaborator. Companion. Comrade.

This is Jess. Partner in crime. Partner in fun. Partner in life.

She links up with the cause and is 100% in. Right there with you. I can share everything with her and she shares everything back.

My P.I.C.

Heart to Heart

My Brrr(s).

BRIT: Core

Also known as B (!), britKNEE and occasionally Penny.

My vegetarian friend. My fashion friend. My yoga friend. My workout friend. My happy hour friend. My borrow a book friend. My tell secrets to friend. My honest friend. You get the picture…

Brit is my anything and everything friend. She’s always there for whatever you need. Brit adores her friends and is very protective of her time with them. She is the core {the central, innermost, or most essential part of anythingof the group. The one that binds everyone together.

We’d all fall apart without her. She also enjoys reading restaurant menus for fun (but we still love her).

B (!)

BROOKE: Compassion

Broomie! Brooke is more full of life than anyone I know. She is overflowing with compassion (even for spiders). Everyone who meets Brooke falls instantly in love (no joke).

B and B are high school friends. Their friendship and the love they have for each other inspires me to be a better friend.

My Brrr(s).

KRIS: Devoted

5’7″ Blonde Beauty

Enjoys long walks on the beach and Taco Tuesday (preferably chicken tacos). Loves her family. Allergic to cats. Favorite pastime singing karaoke. Has been known to dance the night away with the girls whilst belting out “since you’ve been gone”!

My Kristel. Kris. Krisaleel. KristAL (pronounced like the champagne). Friend of many names. It took me a while to pick the perfect word for her. Then I stumbled upon Devoted {dih-voh-tid} zealous or ardent in attachment, loyalty, or affection. It’s perfect. No matter what ups and downs we have been through, she’s always been 100% devoted to our friendship. We love our Bristel time. Lucky to have her and I know I always will.

JEN: Lealtà (Loyal)

Meet Jen.

A 27-year-old, local of España. Entrepreneur. She’d rather be skiing. Law abiding citizen (I did get her to J walk one time. Rebel). Lover of cats. Hater of cilantro. Dater of Jesper.

She is pleased to make your acquaintance.

We fell in love on a rainy night in downtown, San Diego. Eyes met. Sparks flew. The rest is history.

To this day I have yet to meet a human being as loyal as my friend Jen. (I’ve met dogs as loyal. But human. Never.) She has been there for me through thick (I’m talking tar thick) and thin. This girl sticks around. I am SO lucky to know her. My best.

My friends are the best. If we had a friend contest mine would totally win. I’ve dubbed this week Friend Week. I am going to spend the week gloating about all my wonderful friends (trust me, you are really going to wish you knew these people). I have assigned a word to each friend to try and encompass how I feel about them (way harder than you think).

KELS: Genuine

My Valentine. We spent the first 6 hours of our friendship on a road trip valentines weekend. I know what you’re thinking. “Hitting the road for 12 hours round trip with an almost perfect stranger? Bree you’re crazy.” Could have been a disaster but it turned out better than I could have expected and I gained an amazing friend from it. We like to say we’ve lived parallel lives. We’ll just leave it at that. Soulmates.

I relate to Kels more than anyone. Can always count on her to tell me like it is. Kels has a way of delivering the truth without the sting (a talent – cause the truth can hurt). Unbelievably gorgeous inside and out. When we hang out I feel completely natural and comfortable being myself.

She’s an amazing cook (hopefully, after she reads this she’ll want to cook for me. wink, wink).

Can make me laugh to the point of tears.

Loves kids. (can’t wait to see her as a mommy!)

Love her to pieces.

Friday Factday

18 Feb

It’s the Friday the 18th! Sort of like Friday the 13th but better because we get fun facts. Not a scary guy in a mask.

*Paraskavedekatriaphobia: Fear of Friday the 13th (no need to fear-it’s Friday the 18th!)

*In all the Friday the 13th movies Jason is always hiding from Chuck Norris.

*Pearls melt in vinegar.

*In Michigan, a woman’s hair belongs to her husband. (wait. what?)

*Wolves run on their toes. (So do I! Or at least that’s what the shoe lady told me..maybe I am part wolf? That would explain a lot. I always had a thing for Wolverine)

Hope you enjoyed your facts. If you didn’t don’t tell me. I have allodoxaphobia (fear of opinions).
